[Barcelona have been fined just €300 by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for their actions in the signing of Atletico Madrid forward Antione Griezmann] It is evident that the amount of economic sanction does not bear any proportion to the importance of the facts that have given rise to this file. Taking into account the economic capacity of the club and the amount of the economic operation, this committee is aware that the payment of €300, beyond its merely symbolic nature (the fine is imposed because the issued club has been considered the author of a disciplinary infraction), will not contribute to the sanctioned club in particular and, probably, other clubs that may be in the same situation in the future, adapt their behaviour to what is required by regulation. However, this is not a sufficient reason for this committee to opt for the imposition of a sanction - the closing of the stadium by a party - which, as stated, seems to be intended for infractions of another nature

[The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has accused TV producers of manipulating VAR images after Denis Cheryshev’s goal was allowed to stand in Valencia’s 1-0 win against Athletic Club on Saturday] Against the most elementary rules of the ethical sporting code and the rules of national and international competition, the producer of the match has put up images of a hypothetical offside line that doesn’t correspond to the [line] of VAR. These images [are] without any sort of technical rigour and offer a distorted view of the play. [It’s a] manoeuvre which creates a social alarm like a loss in confidence in the current VAR provider and in the skill of the Spanish referees.
The RFEF wants to make it clear that there can be no confusion and will raise the relevant complaint to international judicial and football organisations to analyse the situation and apply the corresponding measures. We are convinced that these irresponsible actions could lead to serious penalties. Therefore, we urge the LNFP [the Spanish football league] to articulate the necessary mechanisms to cease these types of activities so as not to damage and devalue the image of Spanish football

[RFEF demands La Liga chief resigns as Villarreal v Atletico Madrid match in Miami is shelved] The request to the member clubs of La Liga to start a dialogue with the Federation is reiterated and the immediate dismissal of the president of La Liga or his immediate resignation is requested. The president of La Liga, Mr. Javier Tebas, has filed all kinds of lawsuits (criminal, civil, commercial, administrative) and appeals against the RFEF, in what is considered an attempt to justify his own mistakes.
leader of La Liga considers that he can act outside the Federation, however, judges, administration, etc … have found and communicated that this is not possible and that, without the authorisation of the RFEF, he cannot organise the soccer competitions in Spain. La Liga is a competition manager that must adapt its performance to the rules of FIFA, UEFA and RFEF. This attitude that can be considered a total disregard from the president of La Liga for the rules of FIFA, UEFA, as well as the RFEF, leading to an extremely serious situation and putting La Liga clubs themselves at risk.
In the opinion of the RFEF, this attitude is ‘absolutely hostile and irresponsible’ against the institution that directs football in Spain and is causing damage to this sport and especially for clubs that are part of La Liga. It must cease immediately

The president of Spanish football asked that all efforts be focused on supporting our Administration in the fight against COVID-19. At this time, health must prevail over any other issue and we must be on the side of our Government. Sport is our reason for being, but now it must be in the background. We continue to work for football and solutions for this sector, however, now the duty as Spaniards is to stay united and suspend all sports events, as this Federation did in regard to those competitions over which it has oversight.
